Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs. Seattle Kraken

Time: 7:00 PM CST

Television: TSN3

Radio: CJOB

The Winnipeg Jets are playing the Seattle Kraken in a game will surely excite. The Jets are coming off of a strong game against Chicago where they were able to control play, but it was against Chicago. Seattle is a much stronger team and the Jets will need to be ready.

The Jets will be able to roll out their strongest group soon with Dylan DeMelo getting dangerously close to return from his injury. This will help bulk up the Jets team defence which would benefit from an upgrade before or on the trade deadline. The Jets could also use another top six forward which would give them both more skill and an injury buffer if they get hurt. And players always get hurt in the playoffs.

Seattle is probably the most improved team of the season, showing major growth in all areas on the ice. After spending last year recovering from a questionable expansion draft, they have done a good job of beefing up in all positions to run a successful team. In a league where the Vancouver Canucks are struggling so much, the NHL should benefit from having a strong presence in the Pacific Northwest.

The Winnipeg Jets have an all time record of four wins and one loss against the Seattle Kraken which could change tonight due to the strength of the Seattle roster and not the weakness of the Jets roster.

Fun Fact: the Kraken were the only team without a player at the All Star Game.
