Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs. Toronto Maple Leafs

Time: 6:00 PM CST

Channel: TSN3

Radio: CJOB

The Winnipeg Jets are playing one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference tonight in the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Jets will be looking to have a bounce back after playing a horrible game on Tuesday night. They will need to be much better because the Leafs are a much stronger team than the Habs were. The Jets will also want to bounce back in general never mind because they are playing a much stronger team tonight.

The Jets are continuing to inch back to health with Logan Stanley now skating with a contact jersey. Mason Appleton is still in a non-contact jersey. No word on finalized lineups yet, but there is only a chance there might be chances. Connor Hellebuyck will be starting it seems.

The Leafs are the Leafs. They have been loaded up front for years and this year William Nylander is once again shown that while he might not be as talked about as Auston Matthews, John Tavares, or Mitch Marner, he is still really good. They also seem to have sorted out their goaltending situation after years of it letting them down, but who knows if that will hold because the Leafs fans are finicky.

The game tonight should be a typical Toronto/Winnipeg game where nothing is predictable and everything is wild. Two teams who are both strong playing against each other should end up being a great game that has lots of action. Of course this is the NHL so it will probably devolve into a mess that just makes everyone want to laugh in pain.

No word on starting goalies yet, but I assume Connor Hellebuyck for the Jets is a given.
