Preview and GDT: Winnipeg Jets vs. Anaheim Ducks

Time: 2:00 PM CST

Channel: TSN3

Radio: CJOB

The Winnipeg Jets and Anaheim Ducks are playing each other for the second time this season. The Jets won the first time in regulation time on the strength of a Kyle Connor hat trick. The game was also the game where Teemu Selanne and Teppo Numminen were honoured by the Jets.

The Ducks have not improved since they last played the jets. They still have dangerous players like Trevor Zegras who can score and pull off some incredible plays offensively, but they are not the norm and that is part of what hurts the Ducks. The Ducks were seen as a better team last year for no other reason than John Gibson standing on his head. That is not happening this year and it shows in their results.

The Jets have been on a roll since Rick Bowness returned behind the bench full time following a bout of COVID. The Jets have been rolling for most of the season even when they have off games like they did against the Columbus Blue Jackets, they have been able to prevent that from becoming a slide that goes on and derails their season.

Look for Connor Hellebuyck to be back in goal tonight as the Jets are in a busy stretch. David Rittich should end up playing more games in December based on this alone.

No lineups today as the Jets are playing in the afternoon. Back to regularly scheduled game day content on Tuesday.
