Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs. Minnesota Wild

Time: 7:00 PM CST

Channel: TSN3

Radio: CJOB

The Winnipeg Jets are playing the Minnesota Wild and if you have guessed it by now there are no Christmas Miracles for them and they are still without all their injured players including Cole Perfetti who missed the last game before their Christmas break. There is still a roster freeze that ends tomorrow, but any player that would bring significant relief to the Jets would require to get the help they need.

The Jets are in dire straits with their injuries, but they had been playing well until the injuries hit them over the head. They will need to keep on fighting and hoping that Connor Hellebuyck can bail them out until they start getting some scoring back into the lineup. As it stands rights now, they are not capable of scoring their way out of trouble because they just have too much scoring injured at the moment.

The Minnesota Wild do not appear to be dealing with an unusual amount of injuries like the Jets. They have played two fewer games than the Jets and they sit first in the Wild Card because of it. The Central Division is a hilarious mix of strong teams and the Chicago Blackhawks. Because of this it is fair to say that the Jets just need to survive until they get their players back. Teams are lurking too close to them otherwise. Building and sustaining a lead in the division is important and the Jets might be in tough there.

No word on who is starting for the Wild, but it is assume that Hellebuyck will be starting for the Jets.
