Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

Time: 6:00 PM CST

Channel: SportsnetWest, Sportsnet360, CITY

Radio: CJOB

The Winnipeg Jets and Pittsburgh Penguins will clash tonight on Hockey Night in Canada. While the Jets have been flying, the Penguins have been waddling along this season to a .500 record and in general not looking as good as they have in previous years. This could finally be the season that they show their age, but who knows for sure.

The Jets look like Kyle Connor might have finally broken out. He got a hat trick in their last game which hopefully means his long nightmare is over and the goals will start piling up. He was getting looks before, but if last game was the opening of the flood gates it is good news for the Jets.

The Jets will need to tighten up their defence as time goes on especially with the number of injuries they are picking up on offence. It is currently not confirmed if he will be available tonight or not, but Dylan DeMelo is not on the ice at morning skate which could mean an injury on defence as well. Ville Heinola is with the Jets right now, but it looks like Kyle Capobianco will play if DeMelo is unable to go. Connor Hellebuyck will be starting.
