The Winnipeg Jets Select Dmitri Rashevsky 146th Overall

With the 146th pick in the 2021 draft, the Winnipeg Jets have opted for Dmitri Rashevsky. The Russian winger is on the older side compared to his draft contemporaries, but may have something in the tank. Rashevsky’s known for some solid offensive instincts, deceptive stickhandling, good vision, and quality execution in the attack. He doesn’t have world-beating tools and would be a longshot to make the NHL, but there’s a decent package there for the price of a 5th round pick. I’ll need to do some more digging on him to see if he’s worth getting excited for, but I’d expect him to slot in the AHL down the road.
