Game Three Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs Edmonton Oilers

Time: 6:30 PM CST

Channel: CBC, Sportsnet, TVAS, NBCSN

Radio: CJOB

The Winnipeg Jets have been having a solid series against the Edmonton Oilers. They will need to continue their solid play and maybe throw in a dash of spectacular tonight because everything is better with a spectacular goal for.

For real though the Jets have been more than adequate against the Oilers and deserve praise for how they have been playing against Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. The Oilers made it easier for them last game by putting those two on the same line with Jesse Puljujarvi. I would argue that the Oilers are better when they have McDavid with Puljujarvi and Draisaitl with Kailer Yamamoto who has impressed me this series with his mix of physicality and skill. Anyways.

The Jets on the other hand might be welcoming Nikolaj Ehlers back into the lineup. In fact, Murat Ates has noted he is in a contact jersey in his normal slot for the morning skate (this preview was not delayed for the morning skate info, I just feel asleep before writing it). This means that almost certainly we will see Ehlers back in the lineup hopefully at 100%.

Prediction:

I am hopeful the Jets will win another close game even though we have Harrison on the recap here tonight.
