At long last, the Winnipeg Jets are finally ready to begin their post-season adventure. Will it be short? Will it somehow silence us doubters and end in a Cup? Only the hockey gods know the true answer, but we’ll get one step closer to finding out this evening. On the opposing side sits the Edmonton Oilers, a team that took 7 of 9 games against the Jets during the regular season. The omens for Winnipeg certainly aren’t great, and the team will still be without some regular contributors, with Dubois, Ehlers, Copp, and Stastny all in various states of disrepair. Let’s hope Winnipeg can survive the Connor McDavid Cyclone and prevail on the opening night of their playoff run.
