It is WASAC Night in Winnipeg. This is the night where the Winnipeg Jets wear their amazing jerseys designed by an Indigenous artist to raise money for WASAC. Those jerseys should be worn all game because they are really pretty and are for a great cause.

As for the game itself, it will be played between the Winnipeg Jets and the Toronto Maple Leafs. The previous game between the two games ended on a bit of a bitter note for the Jets as they lost multiple players to injury and last I saw there is no word on who will be playing today. I didn’t see the hits, but the fact that the Leafs were able to hurt multiple players in shady ways says a lot about the NHL.

Jordie Benn is skating with the extras this morning which means we might get to see Logan Stanley back in the lineup. The goal for the Jets should have been to have both Stanley and Ville Heinola play as much as possible this year either in the AHL or NHL. Trading for Benn was some good insurance policy, but he should probably be in the press box more often than not.

This game between the Jets and the Leafs could get a little heated and will be on national television (I got the channel right this time), so it should be a good one. Hopefully, it is a clean game as well.
