Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs. Montreal Canadiens

Time: 6:00 PM CST

Channel: Sportsnet East/West, CITY, TVAS

Radio: CJOB

The Winnipeg Jets are looking to continue their winning streak against the Montreal Canadiens. In the Habs they found a team equally good at not playing a full 60 minutes. The Jets have finally met their twin! The Habs are still without Brendan Gallagher and no they have not called up Hobey Baker winner Cole Caulfield yet, but for all we know the next time the Habs and Jets play it could be a different team again.

The Jets do not have Blake Wheeler who is out with a concussion, but outside of that remain fairly healthy. Expect to see Connor Hellebuyck play tonight and he will be opposed by Jake Allen who is starting in lieu of the injured Carey Price.

The Jets will once again be looking for a fast start like they had in the last game and will hopefully continue their strong play. They are not a perfect team, but they are good enough to win more often than not. After tonight’s game, they will play two games against the Ottawa Senators, play the Edmonton Oilers for a game, and then play the Toronto Maple Leafs a bit. The only unknown part of the schedule involves the Vancouver Canucks and when they are back in commission.
