The last Winnipeg Jets outing against the Calgary Flames was…less than stellar. The Jets played like slightly unsavory poo and the Laurent Brossoit did the team zero favors in net. Winnipeg will look to right the ship in the closing salvo of this 3-game series. I expect the Jets to look answer the bell, though it’d be nice if the team would rotate some of the depth players in once in a while. Guys are looking a bit gassed out there.
Calgary likely won’t need to change the formula much from Saturday’s outing. Grind and pound, as per usual, and let Winnipeg’s defense on rush chances do the rest. The Jets can’t let themselves get caved in like they did in the last game. The team also needs to rework the arrangement of the top-9 again. The first three lines have had some rather uneven performances.
