The Winnipeg Jets went months without seeing a team from Eastern Canada and now they cannot get enough of them. After playing possibly their best game of the season against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Jets are back home to play the Montreal Canadiens. And watch out world because if the Jets can continue their good play, things could get interesting.

That said, the Jets have issues. They have the mystery of Josh Morrissey who seemed to fall apart after Jacob Trouba was traded for no discernable reason. He was fine and now he is not. It was first assumed to be because he was trying to do too much, but the issue remains present and therefore should be a major concern for all parties involved.

The other issue is the Mark Scheifele line. It is not at all reliable defensively and if they cannot score off the rush they are basically unable to do anything offensively. It’s a weird drop off the cliff for them and cannot be explained away by saying that Blake Wheeler is getting old (which he is and maybe I will anger the old out of him). Either way, it is a second concern for the Jets.

Now bring on the Habs!
