Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs. Vancouver Canucks

Time: 7:00 PM CST

After the Winnipeg Jets snuck out with a win in overtime, they are looking to redeem themselves in their series against the Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks are bad. The Jets are not bad, just unable to play up to their potential every game. There is a difference and tonight will hopefully be a chance for the Jets to prove the difference between a bad team and a flawed team. A bad team can be hard to redeem while a flawed team can be a bowl of frustrating fun.

The Jets are a flawed team and yet those flaws are fixable. The fact Nathan Beaulieu is a top four defenceman is fixable with a trip to the AHL to grab Ville Heinola. Heinola might actually be a better NHLer than AHLer because the players are more capable of reacting to his skilled plays. But what do I know. I guess the season for Top Four Nathan Beaulieu will continue infinitely.

As for the Canucks, they have been on a slide and it sounds like a very unpleasant one at that. The Jets need to take advantage of this and come out hard at them and be relentless. Give them no hope or take it away quickly.
