The Ottawa Senators. Some teams are bad. Some teams are the Edmonton Oilers most years, and then some teams are the Sens this year. They are just bad. Now, they have beaten both the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens, but they are bad and the Winnipeg Jets have to be ready for that. Bad teams are dangerous because you think you can let your guard down around them and you cannot.
Outside of the Sens being bad, the Jets have to be a lot better than what they have been lately. They need to play a full three periods and maybe not keep trying to make Nathan Beaulieu: First Pair Defenceman happen. Now, I get that Tucker Poolman may not be ready to return after after COVID-19, but seriously, it does not work. Outside of Beaulieu playing too much, it is funny that Paul Maurice feels like his team is 100% and someone like Ville Heinola or Dylan Samberg couldn’t bring anything to the table that might help the Jets. I know that might be a little too much to ask them to do, but what do I know. I guess prospects just develop themselves.
