Left winger Colin Wilson has retired from pro hockey. Drafted in the first round, seventh overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Nashville Predators, Wilson has 286 points (113G, 173A) in 632 games, as well as 33 points (17G, 16A) in 65 playoff games, for Nashville (2009/10-2016/17) and Colorado (2017/18-2019/20). Wilson’s career highs are 20 goals and 42 points, both in 2015 with Nashville, and 23 assists in 2017 with Nashville. Despite not quite living up to his high draft status, he was a useful mid-six roster filler during his career. He had four points (0G, 4A) for Colorado in nine games in 2019/20, his last NHL season, and 27 points (12G, 15A) in 65 games for Colorado the season before that. Wilson, 31, seems to have retired due to a lower-body injury, the injury that kept him out for most of the 2019/20 season.
