Game 4 Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs. Ottawa Senators

Time: 6:00 PM CST

Channel: TSN3

Radio: CJOB/Power 97

The Winnipeg Jets and the Ottawa Senators are playing the second game of their three game series. The baseball series experiment is new this year in effort to cut down the amount of travel teams do. Still no word on how it is actually going, but it is fun to see them try something new at least.

As for the Sens, I apologize for mocking them last game. We now know Josh Norris has scored his first NHL goal and that the Sens might be okay. That or the Jets have more concerns than we want to deal with right now. Both these things can be true and are true.

As for the Jets I will guess that Patrik Laine will miss another game and no lineup changes will happen except for Connor Hellebuyck will start instead of Laurent Brossoit. Outside of that, Paul Maurice doesn’t like to make changes after wins or losses. Maurice seems to think that issues just solve themselves instead of actively trying to improve the team. Sami Niku is clearly in over his head and needs to either go back to the third pair or sit in the press box. Maurice refuses to even do this. It is not about success anymore. This is a man who benched Tobias Enstrom in the playoffs because ????? and he won’t do something like that anymore.
