Where art thou, Bryan Little?

Bryan Little was skating again in February. Bryan Little is not ready to return to play. These two things make perfect sense. Little suffered what was described as an inner-ear injury when a puck hit him in the head. He ended up being in hospital for a few days before going home to rest and recover. He is still not recovered enough to rejoin the team and the fact the Jets are testing him properly and making sure he is 100% read to return if the day comes.

Daymond Langkow went through something similar when he took a puck to the neck in March of 2010 and he was not ready until almost a full year after the fact. Healing from an injury like this takes time and Little might never gain the clearance he needs to play in the NHL again.

Little’s time in Winnipeg has been rife with freak injuries and it is a shame because at one point he was an underrated centre for the Atlanta Thrashers. After moving to Winnipeg it has been blow after blow to Little’s career. He started off so promising and has just fallen down due to aging and injury.

Little is not going to be with the team and we do not know when he will return or if he will return. We can only hope for many happy returns.
