Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs St. Louis Blues

Time: 7:00 PM CST

Channel: TSN3

Radio: TSN1290

The Winnipeg Jets are playing the St. Louis Blues tonight in another important Central Division game. The Jets are still looking for wins even as they are harder and harder to come by. The Jets are still waiting for Mathieu Perreault to return to health, same with Nathan Beaulieu. The Jets are going to want Beaulieu to return to health before the trade deadline as he might be a defencemen who another team would want for depth.

The Blues are one of the top teams in the NHL and they continue to just roll alone no matter what happens to them. They are a solid team who gets good goaltending from Jordan Binnington. Unless he has not been rested for a while or the Blues are back to back situation, expect him to start to night. They also have no singular standout upfront. Instead, they have balanced lines and a strong team game. Their defence is equally strong and they have not suffered from trading away strong players like Kevin Shattenkirk and Joel Edmundson, they have a defence that most teams would be envious of. It is also a mostly homegrown defence.

Prediction

The Jets treat the Blues goalie as a shooter tutor and shoot the puck into his chest all night long.
