The Winnipeg Jets and Edmonton Oilers are renewing their rivalry in Edmonton for the late game on Hockey Night in Canada. It should be a good game with the Jets having to limit Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid who recently returned from injury. The Jets could be without Patrik Laine who hurt himself blocking a shot although there are no broken bones. The two teams have similar records the past ten games so this game could go anyway which is good for a late game that starts around bedtime.

The Jets losing Laine would be a blow as he has been very solid for the Jets. He has expanded his repertoire as a passer and has dedicated himself to playing more defence as well. Losing that would be tough for the Jets even though they have the skill to withstand the loss as a team.

As for the Oilers, they are living off of having Draisaitl and McDavid. Draisaitl has been phenomenal this year and it is surprising that more people are not talking about how great he has been this season. Alas, this is Canada and so we are still talking about the Toronto Maple Leafs losing to an emergency back up goalie last weekend. The Jets feel your pain, Toronto.
