Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs Chicago Blackhawks

Time: 7:30 PM CST

Channel: TSN3

Radio: TSN1290

The last time the Winnipeg Jets played the Chicago Blackhawks, they spotted them a goal less than two minutes into the game, were down two nothing, and were still able to win. This time the Jets will be the more rested team with the Jets not playing last night and the Blackhawks travelling overnight.

The Jets are playing better as of late, but they are still not playing great. They thankfully have Tucker Poolman back in the lineup, but they have sent Sami Niku down again. Thankfully they actually played him this time, so no complaints there. Outside of getting more and more players back from injury, the Jets are actually in a pretty tough spot because they are still too passive of a team especially defensively. They have always been a stronger group when playing aggressively and Paul Maurice has them playing more passively especially defensively.

As for the Blackhawks, not much has changed from when the Jets last played them. They are still not a great team with really good goaltending. No matter who the Blackhawks start, the Jets will be in tough as both Corey Crawford or Robin Lehner. The Jets will also have to contend with the Blackhawks skilled forwards, but unlike years gone by when they would come in waves they now come at you in short spurts that you can handle.

Prediction

My dad will swear at the TV at least five times for various reasons.
