Preview and GDT: Winnipeg Jets vs Boston Bruins

The Winnipeg Jets are continuing their road trip by going to the USA to play the Boston Bruins. The Bruins have been one of the best teams in the league this year and have gone on a ridiculous win streak at one point. Any team can be beaten on any night though and the Jets would really like to redeem themselves after giving up a late goal in the dying seconds of the game last night.

The Jets will need a better performance from Patrik Laine tonight who was the opposite of good against the Toronto Maple Leafs. They will also want to have a stronger collective defensive effort. This could be aided by the addition of Dmitry Kulikov. If Kulikov is back, expect Anthony Bitetto to come out of the lineup.

As for the Bruins, they are a bit of a slide for them with more games going to extra time than anything. They Jets should be aiming for that on the second half of a back to back. One factor that could come into play is who is in the Jets net. If Paul Maurice follows conventional wisdom, it will be backup goalie Laurent Brossoit and Connor Hellebuyck will have the night off, but that does not seem to follow Maurice’s plan of always starting Hellebuyck.

Prediction

The game is unwatchable and I continue to hate the Bruins.
