Winnipeg Jets select Harrison Blaisdell 134th overall and Logan Neaton 144th overall

The Winnipeg Jets selected Harrison Blaisdell 134th overall. He spent last season playing for the Chilliwack Chiefs of the BCHL. Although Elite Prospects has him going to University of North Dakota starting in 2020, Brad Berry (the head coach) says he will start there this upcoming season. Once he is there, the Jets will have until August 15th of his Senior season (fourth season) before he can become a free agent unless I am remembering incorrectly as it is four years from your draft year that NHL teams hold your rights.

His statistics thanks to Elite Prospects.

Comments from Brad Berry to the Grand Forks Tribune.

Logan Neaton is a 20 year old goalie from the BCHL who is going to Connor Hellebuyck’s old stomping grounds University of Massachusetts-Lowell next season. While he had a great season this past season, that has not always been the case. Up until this current season, his stats were middle of the road. He spent this past year on the second best team in the league, the Prince George Spruce Kings. The best team in the league was Harrison Blaisdell’s Chilliwack Chiefs. That said, Neaton could be a guy who just started putting it all together and will be good. He could also be a guy who only stays in the NCAA for a couple years before signing. Who knows?

He does seem like a good guy and became a viral sensation (not sure if this was truly viral or not) for being a good sportsman. Much better than drafting someone who poops on their girlfriend’s car.
