Right winger Jannik Hansen, who last played in the NHL for San Jose, has retired from pro hockey. Drafted in the ninth round, 287th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Canucks, Hansen has 256 points (109G, 147A) in 626 games, as well as 19 points (7G, 12A) in 70 games, for Vancouver (2006/07-partway through 2016/17), and San Jose (partway through 2016/17-2017/18). Hansen has career-highs in his career of 39 points as well as 23 assists, both in 2012 with Vancouver, and 22 goals in 2016, also with Vancouver. In his last season in the NHL, Hansen finished with 14 points (2G, 12A) in 46 games for the Sharks. In his last pro hockey season, Hansen, 33, he scored 18 points in 45 games for the KHL’s CSKA Moscow.
