Preview and GDT: Winnipeg Jets vs Arizona Coyotes

Time: 9:00 PM CDT

Channel: CITY, SportsnetWest

Radio: TSN1290

The Winnipeg Jets are playing their final regular season game against the Arizona Coyotes and as odd as it sounds, it is a bit of a must win. The Jets have been struggling for a while now and while one game is not going to make or break their success in the playoffs, but sometimes going in with a win helps mentally.

The Jets have been struggling since Christmas and it has only recently really started impacting their results. As a result, they are not in first in the Central Division anymore and are in a three-way battle to see who reigns supreme between them, the Nashville Predators and the St. Louis Blues.

Meanwhile, the Arizona Coyotes are out of the playoffs again, but came painfully close this year. They were eliminated when the Colorado Avalanche won in overtime against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night. The Coyotes have steadily improves the past two seasons and with some better injury luck, would probably be in the playoffs today.

Speaking of injuries, it is unclear whether Josh Morrissey will play tonight or not, but based on reports of the Jets taking it slow with him, it is unlikely we will see him before the playoffs.

Apologies for no GDT. I will be out and don’t have time to make a GDT and be back in time for the game.
