Game Six Preview and GDT: Winnipeg Jets vs St. Louis Blues

Time: 6:00 PM CDT

Channel: CBC

Radio: TSN1290

The Winnipeg Jets need to win tonight or they are eliminated from the playoffs. Good news is the road team has won every game this series. After a controversial loss in game five, the Jets have to move on and move forward once again. It might make no sense that the refs called that rule on them (defender dislodging the net), but it happened and it is a rule and if it wasn’t called it would happen a lot more.

The Jets might be without NIkolaj Ehlers who was hobbled after blocking a shot near the end of game five. However, it is the playoffs so he will probably play. The Jets have also gone two games without Patrik Laine scoring. He is still playing well, so him scoring in game six would be a nice bonus.

In short, the Jets need to play like they played game four. They were focused on the task at hand and they were able to withstand the Blues attack. If they cannot replicate that game or the Blues get a little lucky again, it is over. For the first time ever, the franchise will have lost back to back playoff series in consecutive years.
