The Winnipeg Jets are facing off against the Montreal Canadiens who are currently fighting for their playoff lives. It should be a good matchup that will pit two teams who are both good against each other.

The Habs have been a renaissance team this year. They traded their captain right before training camp, their new captain was out until December, they had a centre who had never played centre in the NHL and another one who was barely 18 and supposed to play another year in Finland. Well, well, well, how they turntable. Tomas Tatar has been an excellent addition to the Habs even though he is a downgrade from Max Pacioretty, Shea Weber returned on-form, Max Domi proved himself as a centre, and Jesperi Kotkaniemi only reminds people of how young he is when he is calling everything “mint”.

The Habs will be starting Carey Price and the Jets will counter with Connor Hellebuyck. If both goalies play like they are capable of, it should be a great duel. Also in the lineup will be Dustin Byfuglien who started skating with the team this past week. This is the type of news the Jets have been waiting for and will hopefully take advantage of.

On y va!
