Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs Columbus Blue Jackets

The Winnipeg Jets are facing off against Trade Deadline crazy-team the Columbus Blue Jackets to see if trading all your picks or maxing out on the amount of trades you can make is a smarter way to work (I am all about the trade max-out by the way).

The Jets will be without Adam Lowry as he serves his first of a two game suspension. They will play Par Lindholm in his spot, but not necessarily on the third line. Expect Bryan Little to take his spot at centre and possibly Andrew Copp to move up a line. The top two lines should stay untouched as they are both looking good and unaffected by the loss of Lowry.

The Blue Jackets traded for the two Ottawa Senators that teams should have avoided. Both players are either not play drivers (Ryan Dzingel) or barely play drivers (Matt Duchene). As for the Jets, Kevin Hayes is a play driver and plays a different style than Bryan Little, who while still a good player is not the right fit for every winger on the Jets.

The Jets should have a good game on their hands. The Blue Jackets are a good, not great team and are highly beatable. The Jets had a thorough and competent win against the Nashville Predators on Friday that they are looking to build off of.

Prediction:

Matt Duchene does something and someone complains about Kevin Cheveldayoff not trading for him. Kevin Hayes does something and they shut up.
