Introduction:
Familiarity breeds contempt, and in the case of the Winnipeg Jets and Nashville Predators, that contempt leads to some hockey. These teams know each other very well as Central Division rivals, and courtesy of an epic seven game playoff series last season. Both teams are incorporating new players into their lineups post trade deadline. Paul Maurice looks like he has turned on the line blender again pairing Kyle Connor and Nikolaj Ehlers with new Jet Kevin Hayes.
Connor Hellebuyck is out tonight due to illness and Laurent Brossoit gets the start in goal. Eric Comrie has been called up from the Moose as back up. Bryan Little looks to move to wing on the fourth, or more accurately 3(b) line. Both the Jets and Predators are trying to fight off the hard charging St. Louis Blues in the standings. This is time for the Jets to start channeling their playoff selves from last season and beat a division rival at home.
Random Prediction:
