The Winnipeg Jets are playing the lowly Ottawa Senators in a game that they almost have to win so they just feel better about themselves. Their last game was a 5-2 shellacking at the hands of the Montreal Canadiens.

It is no clear which goalie we will see in net, but we should be seeing Laurent Brossoit in one of the games this weekend and Connor Hellebuyck should be getting a game off soon. It would make sense if that was this game. We also might see Josh Morrissey today as he was close on Thursday.

As for the Senators; Mark Stone and Matt Duchene are both on the trade block and could be moved for future assets at any moment. The Jets are supposedly interested in both players, but who knows if those rumours are to be believed. The Sens are also potentially shopping players like Cody Ceci whom they should have traded for Taylor Hall when they had the chance.

If Morrissey is not back, do not expect any lineup changes for the Jets. They have not made them yet this season and they are not going to start now. Expect Nic Petan and Sami Niku to be scratched.
