Jack Roslovic named NHL First Star of the Week

Fresh off his first career hat trick and first career four point game, Jack Roslovic was named the NHL’s First Star of the Week on Monday.

Roslovic had a goal against Philadelphia, didn’t score on his 22nd birthday against Boston, scored against Columbus then notched three goals (all on the power play) and added an assist for good measure against Anaheim on Saturday.

Roslovic seems to be making the most of his opportunity with increased minutes, as he fills in for the injured Nikolaj Ehlers on the Jets’ second line. He has eight points in the 12 games he’s played since moving to the second line, with seven of those points coming in his last six games.

The 22nd overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft has seven goals and nine assists in 51 games played this season.
