Nic Petan has been traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs

Nic Petan has been freed from the press box thanks to a trade to the Toronto Maple Leafs. This is the end of a saga for Petan’s adventures in the press boxes of the NHL. There is not a lot to say about Par Lindholm as he is 27 and in his first NHL season after playing in the Swedish Elite League. He has 12 points in 61 games including one goal.

The more amusing part of this trade is it was the Winnipeg Jets sixth trade of the day and it is thought by TSN that teams are limited to six trades in a day. For a general manager who used to be known as Chevy Took a Day Off (maybe only by me), but this deadline he clearly pushed it to the limit. I for one, salut you Chevy. Maybe the cold weather made fishing impossible today.

For the Jets, this trade does very little if it does anything at all. Petan has been in the press box for so long, that it is hard to remember what Petan can do.

There will be more analysis later, but for now I shall saw adieu and go pick up my fancy new Jets shirt.
