Preview and GDT: Winnipeg Jets vs Buffalo Sabres

Time: 2:00 PM CST

Channel: TSN3

Radio: TSN1290

The Winnipeg Jets and Buffalo Sabres are playing this afternoon in a game that would have been known as a Great Tank Battle game a few seasons ago. We will finally get to watch a respectable Sabres team play after years of them being played out of their own rink. They have made moves that have made them a stronger team with more depth than before and it is paying off.

The Jets will need to watch out for Jeff Skinner who has had a massive season for the Sabres. He has been their leader who scores when they need a goal. Jack Eichel has also been good for the Sabres and is continuing to live up to his draft-day billing.

As for the Jets, they have had better weeks. After a dominant won against the Anaheim Ducks the Jets have been thoroughly outplayed by both the Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators. The Senators game was especially galling as the Sens are the worst team in the league. The Jets still have time to turn things around, but that time is slowly slipping away.

Finally, the Jets lineup should stay the same as it was yesterday unless Brendan Lemieux was injured on his last minute shot block yesterday or Dmitry Kulikov is ready to re-join the lineup after a one game injury. Connor Hellebuyck should get the start today.
