The Winnipeg Jets and the Carolina Hurricanes are two teams who are in the exact same position in the standings. The Jets have been playing a bit unevenly lately, but they are usually able to play up to the competition. They should be fine playing with the Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes are a team that is known to be a solid team without any real stars. Sebastian Aho garnered a lot of attention this summer when he signed an offer sheet from the Montreal Canadiens, but that was matched and he remained with the Canes. They also have noted museum lover Dougie Hamilton who seems to be more misunderstood than most NHLers even though he just wants to read his book and go check out a museum.
The Jets are going to be without Mathieu Perreault following a hit from Joel Farabee on Sunday. Farabee was suspended three games for the hit and the suspension was deserved. Expect to see Joona Luoto to draw into the lineup. An aside, but it appears that Bryan Little has been activated from injured reserve. I don’t know how long this has been for, but he might also be an option if he is ready to go.
Prediction
The Jets lines make little sense this game and we are all confused.
