The Winnipeg Jets announced today that David Gustafsson has been loaned to the Sweden U20 men’s team to play in the upcoming World Junior Hockey Championship in the Czech Republic.

Gustafsson is in his first year with the Jets, with one goal in 22 games.

Gustafsson was part of the Swedish team that won their group at last year’s tournament, only to lose in the quarter finals. Gustafsson had three assists in five games. The previous year, he won a bronze medal as part of Sweden’s U18 team.
