Apologies for missing the absolute beat down of the Detroit Red Wings by the Winnipeg Jets as I had a prior commitment. Anyways, the Jets completely beat down the Wings and they were playing their backup goalie. Tonight, they will hopefully go to Connor Hellebuyck and let him play near his hometown in front of family and friends.
The Jets can just keep doing what they did on Tuesday night and the Red Wings should probably consider changing everything that they did on Tuesday night. They are once again in tough against a team that is far superior to them. Even the most pessimistic Jets fan (me) did not think that the Jets would be close to the level of the Red Wings right now; they would have been a more run and gun, screw defence team. The Jets are a pleasant surprise to say the least.
It seems like the Jets are close to getting healthy again as they have sent Mason Appleton to the AHL for conditioning. Hopefully he will be recalled and put back on the fourth line where he can try and make it more of a scoring line. There are more injuries in which players seem to be nearing a return from.
Prediction:
It will be the opposite of Tuesday night because I will be watching tonight.
