Do you ever just sit there and marvel at how far we have come? Not even ten years ago Winnipeg only had the Manitoba Moose as a pro hockey team and they were the Vancouver Canucks farm team. Now, we have the Winnipeg Jets and the Canucks were a mere rival of sorts. Sure, there is still Alex Edler from his few games with the Moose, but even former Moose players are understandably on low supply.

This game also marks the start Jets Hockey Fights Cancer campaign. While the money raised is nice, the bigger part is about letting kids go to the game with their families and enjoying themselves a few hours.
