This morning, the Winnipeg Jets called up Joona Luoto from the Manitoba Moose, while placing Bryan Little on injured reserve.
Luoto, 22, signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Jets back on July 15, and had one goal and one assist in five pre-season games with Winnipeg before being sent down to the Moose on September 30. With the Moose, Luoto has registered three assists in nine games, while missing two games with an upper-body injury to start the season.
Luoto played in the SM-Liiga the last three seasons, registering eight goals and eight assists in each of the last two seasons with Tappara.
Bryan Little is out indefinitely after taking a Nikolaj Ehlers point shot to the head during Tuesday night’s game against the New Jersey Devils.
