The Winnipeg Jets are playing the Anaheim Ducks on Black Friday afternoon because there are only 24 American teams in the NHL and there is no way that one of them could have played the Ducks today instead of the Ducks playing a Canadian team when Canada is still at work.
Aside from the inconvenient game time, the Jets are on a roll and are looking to build off of a 5-1 win against the San Jose Sharks. They once again looked dominate and the game was capped off with David Gustafsson’s first goal. When you’re rolling, nothing can stop you.
On the other hand, the Ducks are a .500 team who relies on their goalie John Gibson too much to be a real threat in the NHL. Anytime you see a team that is all about goaltending, you should be concerned and the Ducks should be.
