Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs Colorado Avalanche

Time: 7:00 PM CST

Channel: TSN3

Radio: TSN1290

The Winnipeg Jets are preparing to play another Central Division rival tonight in the Colorado Avalanche. The Avs are second in the division while the Jets are in the second Wild Card spot. This is another important game for the Jets as they need all the points they can get before American Thanksgiving.

The Jets have been playing better as of late or at least their goalie has made it possible for them to stay in games and score enough to win. In their game against the Dallas Stars the Jets were the better team for the third period, but they were either outplayed or played Dallas evenly. If the Jets can start putting together full games, they will be a better team for it.

The Avs have been a fairly impressive team this year. They traded for Nazem Kadri in the off-season and he has helped them offensively. They traded Tyson Barrie to the Toronto Maple Leafs to get Kadri, but their defence has been able to get by without him and Kadri is a different dimension upfront. Alongside Kadri there is Nathan MacKinnon who has been a terror on the NHL with his speed for years. It appears that Gabriel Landeskog will not be able to play due to an injury, so the Jets will get off easy there.

Prediction:

Connor Hellebuyck reminds everyone why he was nominated for the Vezina Trophy two years ago once again.
