Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs Pittsburgh Penguins

Time: 6:00 PM CDT

Channel: TSN3

Radio: TSN1290

The Winnipeg Jets are playing their final game on their four game road trip tonight when they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins in Pittsburgh. The Jets will be jetting home after the game to prepare for their home opener on Thursday.

The Jets are currently without Josh Morrissey on defence after Morrissey left warm ups against the New York Islanders on Sunday with an injury. However, he did practice yesterday in a regular uniform so hopefully he is back tonight ready to go. If he is not, Carl Dahlstrom will have finally had a practice with the team and will hopefully be a bit more comfortable if pressed into service again.

The Jets are fairly stable up front and Andrew Copp appears to be doing a good job in that regard. While he is not necessarily an offensive powerhouse, he is good at supporting players who are more offensively gifted than he is and has not been a black hole of offence whatsoever. In the same vein, Patrik Laine has been so much better this season and has looked more engaged through the first three games.

Finally, the goaltending will be an interesting one to watch. Laurent Brossoit started the game against the Islanders even though Connor Hellebuyck was not in the middle of a back to back. One game does not mean something in the long run, but it will be interesting to watch the goalie usage long-term.
