Preview and GDT: Winnipeg Jets vs New York Islanders

Time: 6:00 PM CDT

Channel: Sportsnet

Radio:TSN1290

The Winnipeg Jets are working their tour of the New York City area before coming home and are in Long Island before the go to Pittsburgh and then finally come home. The Jets are probably still recovering from their previous game in which they came back from being down 4-0 to win in a shootout, but they have to be ready for the New York Islanders who are a good team even without John Tavares.

Knowing the Jets, they will not change their lineup with the exception of the starting goalie where it could easily be Connor Hellebuyck instead of Laurent Brossoit. Otherwise, the Jets are pretty likely to roll out the same lineup even though they could make it more effective by tweaking the lines here and there. They could swap the Adam Lowry line to make it the fourth line and play the Jack Roslovic line as the third line. Or they could play Tucker Poolman with Josh Morrissey. Whatever changes could be made are unlikely to be made and the Jets will mostly remain the same as they always have.

One point of feedback: would you like the recaps to remain a “Three Takeaways” type of piece or a “Good, Bad, and Ugly” type piece?
