Introduction:

The Winnipeg Jets (6-6-0) begin their three game road trip tonight against Anaheim Ducks (7-6-0). Mason Appleton is out with a foot injury he sustained off ice at the Heritage Classic. Adam Lowry is suspended for two games for a hit on Oliver Kylington also at the Heritage Classic. Patrik Laine is dealing with a minor injury according to Paul Maurice, but should be good to play tonight. Logan Shaw has been called up from the Manitoba Moose which is a great opportunity for him as he has not played in the NHL since 2017/18. The Jets may need to call up more players depending on the status of Laine. Nathan Beaulieu may return to the defense line up at some point during the road trip.

The Ducks last two games fall at both ends of the spectrum – an impressive win against the Colorado Avalanche, and a beat down loss to Vegas Golden Knights where they only managed 15 shots on goal. The Ducks are hanging around the wildcard playoff spot at present along with our Jets. John Gibson continues his solid play in goal for the Ducks, and back up goaltender Ryan Miller has undergone a mini revival in his play posting a 3 – 0 record so far this season. The Jets are currently 3 -2 on the road this season, so, here’s hoping they can start the road trip off with a win.

Go Jets!!!!!!!!!
