Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs Arizona Coyotes

Time: 7:00 PM CDT

Channel: TSN3

Radio: TSN1290

The Winnipeg Jets are looking to get back on track tonight against the Arizona Coyotes. The Jets last game ended in a 7-2 thrashing at the hands of the Pittsburgh Penguins, a game I mercifully missed by being at a family dinner. Hopefully everyone has recovered from Thanksgiving and is ready to play some hockey again.

It is unlikely that the Jets will make any lineup changes and that is a shame. David Gustafsson made the team based on his play in the pre-season and yet he has not played a minute in the regular season. He played in the Swedish Elite League last year and would have had the opportunity to play against men in a very good league again this year except the Jets insisted on keeping him. And don’t feed me BS that he is learning from the press box: let him play somewhere even if that place is not North America.

As for the Coyotes, they are without Niklas Hjalmarsson who is out with an injury. The Coyotes are currently 1-2-1 and eighth in the Pacific Division. It appears that it has been a tough start in the desert and it will only get tougher without Hjalmarsson.

Prediction:

I will regret missing the game for school.
