Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks recalled centre Isac Lundestrom from AHL San Diego. They recalled left winger Max Comtois. They signed centre Benoit-Olivier Groulx to a three-year entry-level contract.

Arizona Coyotes

The Coyotes recalled goaltender Antti Raanta from his conditioning stint with AHL Tucson and reassigned goaltender Adin Hill. They recalled defenceman Ilya Lyubushkin and reassigned defenceman Kyle Capobianco. Centre David Ullstrom, who was last under contract in the NHL last season with Arizona, has had his contract terminated by the KHL’s Dinamo Riga.

Boston Bruins

The Bruins made no moves this week. Defenceman Paul Postma, who last played in the NHL for Boston in 2017/18, has been released from his contract in the KHL by Metallurg Magnitogorsk.

Buffalo Sabres

The Sabres made no moves this week.

Calgary Flames

The Flames made no moves this week. Left winger Kerby Rychel, who last played in the NHL for Calgary last season, has had his contract terminated by the KHL’s Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk.

Carolina Hurricanes

The Hurricanes recalled right winger Julien Gauthier from AHL Charlotte. Left winger Andrej Nestrasil, who last played in the NHL from 2014/15 to 2016/17, has signed a one-year contract in Russia with the KHL’s Metallurg Magnitogorsk.

Chicago Blackhawks

The Blackhawks reassigned defenceman Dennis Gilbert to AHL Rockford. They reassigned centre John Quenneville.

Colorado Avalanche

The Avalanche reassigned defenceman Conor Timmins to AHL Colorado. They recalled defenceman Kevin Connauton.

Columbus Blue Jackets

The Blue Jackets recalled recalled left winger Markus Hannikainen from AHL Cleveland.

Dallas Stars

The Stars recalled defenceman Joel Hanley and right winger Joel L’Esperance from AHL Texas. They reassigned right winger Denis Gurianov. Defenceman Julius Honka has signed a one-year contract in Finland with the Liiga’s JYP Jyvaskyla with an NHL out-clause.

Detroit Red Wings

The Red Wings acquired defenceman Alex Biega from Vancouver. They recalled right winger Evgeny Svechnikov, left winger Ryan Kuffner, and defenceman Oliwer Kaski from AHL Grand Rapids.

The Oilers made no moves this week.

Montreal Canadiens

The Canadiens reassigned defenceman Noah Juulsen to AHL Laval. They reassigned centre Michael McCarron.

The Devils signed defenceman Joe Morrow to a one-year contract and reassigned him to AHL Binghamton.

New York Islanders

New York Rangers

The Rangers acquired defenceman Nick Ebert and a 2021 fourth-round pick from Ottawa. They signed defenceman Matthew Robertson to a three-year entry-level contract.

Ottawa Senators

The Senators reassigned centre Filip Chlapik and right winger Drake Batherson to AHL Belleville. They acquired centre Vladislav Namestnikov from the Rangers. They recalled right winger Vitaly Abramov.

Philadelphia Flyers

The Flyers reassigned left winger Joel Farabee and defenceman Philippe Myers to AHL Lehigh Valley.

Pittsburgh Penguins

The Penguins recalled centre Sam Lafferty and Andrew Agozzino from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on an emergency basis. They recalled left winger Adam Johnson on an emergency basis. They reassigned Agozzino following his emergency recall and recalled left winger Joseph Blandisi on an emergency basis.

San Jose Sharks

The Sharks recalled defenceman Trevor Carrick from AHL San Jose. They signed left winger Patrick Marleau to a one-year contract. They reassigned right winger Jonny Brodzinski.

St. Louis Blues

The Blues made no moves this week. Right winger Jordan Caron, who was last under contract in the NHL from 2015/16 to 2016/17 with St. Louis, has been released from his PTO with ECHL Maine.

Tampa Bay Lightning

The Lightning reassigned centre Gemel Smith to AHL Syracuse.

Toronto Maple Leafs

The Maple Leafs reassigned centre Kalle Kossila to AHL Toronto.

Vancouver Canucks

The Canucks acquired left winger David Pope from Detroit. Right winger Landon Ferraro, who attended training camp in 2019 with Vancouver, has signed a one-year contract in Germany with the DEL’s Eisbaren Berlin.

Goaltender Michael Leighton has retired from pro hockey. Drafted in the sixth round, 165th overall, in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks, Leighton has a 37-43-10-4 record, 0.900 Save%, 2.98 GAA, and four shutouts in 110 games, as well as an 8-4 record, 0.913 Save%, 2.54 GAA, and three shutouts in 16 playoff games, for Chicago (2002/03-2003/04, 2015/16), Nashville (part of 2006/07), Philadelphia (part of 2006/07, partway through 2009/10-2010/11, 2012/13), and Carolina (2007/08-partway through 2009/10, 2016/17). Leighton was a depth goaltender throughout his career, but had his moment in the sun in 2010, when he played 14 playoff games en route to the Stanley Cup Final, which he lost against Chicago. Leighton has career highs of 17 wins in 2010 with Carolina and Philadelphia, 0.941 Save% and 1.56 GAA in 2016 with Chicago, and two shutouts in 2004 with Chicago, though it is worth mentioning that those other marks are in cups of coffee at the NHL level. Leighton finished his final season with NHL action with a 2-2-0 record, 0.870 Save%. 3.42 GAA, and zero shutouts in four games for Carolina as well as an 11-7-3 record and 0.921 Save% in 23 games for AHL Charlotte. He finished his final season of pro hockey with a 9-10-1 record and 0.895 Save% in 22 games between AHL Ontario and AHL Utica. Leighton, 38, finished his final pro season under contract with Vancouver.

Vegas Golden Knights

The Golden Knights recalled defenceman Jake Bischoff from AHL Chicago and reassigned defenceman Jimmy Schuldt. They reassigned centre Nicholas Roy.

Washington Capitals

The Capitals reassigned defenceman Martin Fehervary to AHL Hershey. They reassigned defenceman Jonas Siegenthaler. They reassigned centre Travis Boyd.

Winnipeg Jets

The Jets signed defencemen Sami Niku and Nelson Nogier from AHL Manitoba. They reassigned Nogier. They reassigned Niku.
