Preview: Winnipeg Jets vs Dallas Stars

Time: 4:00 PM CST

The Winnipeg Jets are playing the maligned Dallas Stars after their sound defeat at the hands of the Pittsburgh Penguins Penguins. The Stars are a different story though: their CEO called out their two best players, Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin, when the whole team is struggling. Furthermore, Benn has been out with an injury and did not know that he was for sure back in the lineup until a reporter mentioned it on Twitter. You can see that everything is fine in Dallas.

Now for the Jets, they are without both Dustin Byfuglien and Nikolaj Ehlers. As seen against the Pens, they miss Byfuglien. Good news for the Jets is Dallas is much closer to a one line team that Pittsburgh and they should be able to handle the Stars if Josh Morrissey and Jacob Trouba are matching up against Seguin and Benn.

The Jets missing Ehlers is not quite the same as losing Byfuglien. While his loss will hurt, they are better equipped to handle forward injuries than injuries to the defence. For the time being, Jack Roslovic will play in Ehlers spot and Nic Petan draws into the lineup. If Roslovic struggles, he can swap with Petan and the Jets should survive.
