Winnipeg Jets Cut Six

The Winnipeg Jets have cut six players and sent them to the Manitoba Moose for the start of AHL camp. Those six players; Charles-David Beaudoin, Simon Bourque, Jacob Cederholm, Luke Green, Tye McGinn, and Matt Ustaski. They will join the Moose and hopefully make the team this year.

Just a note on how the Winnipeg Jets schedule has affected the Manitoba Moose: the Laval Rocket (the Montreal Canadiens AHL affiliate) have had their AHL camp going since Monday and have been able to make multiple sets of cuts already to work with their nuclear group (main roster and potential call-ups) for the past couple of days. It helps them with system play and allows them to figure out player usage and lines. The fact that the Jets with multiple sets of back to backs have not been able to do this is a negative.

A little more on the Moose: local boy and former NHLer Ryan White will be at Moose camp as will Emile Poirier, a former Calgary Flames first round pick.
