Tanev Re-Signs for 1 year, $1.15 million

After a playoff run that saw him tie for fifth in playoff goal, the Winnipeg Jets re-signed Brandon Tanev for a 1-year, $1.15 million dollar contract.

Tanev, 26, had eight goals and 10 assists in 61 games for the Jets last season, his second full season with the club after signing with Winnipeg in 2016. Tanev had four goals and two assists in 17 playoff games, and avoids and arbitration hearing that was scheduled for July 25. Tanev made 700k last year with Winnipeg.

With the signing, Marko Dano becomes the last remaining Jets player with a scheduled arbitration hearing, set for July 30th. Josh Morrissey and Tucker Poolman remain restricted free-agents, while Nicolas Petan, Eric Comrie, J.C. Lipon and Nicolas Kerdiles are also RFAs without contract.
