Left winger Jiri Tlusty, who attended training camp with 2016 with Colorado, has retired from pro hockey. Drafted in the first round, 13th overall, in 2006 by the Toronto Maple Leafs, Tlusty has 177 points (89G, 88A) in 446 games, as well as zero points in four playoff games, for Toronto (2007/08-partway through 2009/10), Carolina (partway through 2009/10-partway through 2014/15), Winnipeg (part of 2014/15), and New Jersey (2015/16). Tlusty has career-highs of 38 points in 2013 with Carolina, 23 goals in 2013 with Carolina, and 19 assists in 2012 with Carolina. Tlusty, 30, scored four points (2G, 2A) in 2015/16, his last NHL season, and scored five points for Liiga’s Karpat Oulu last season, sitting this season out and retiring due to injuries.

Right winger PA Parenteau, who attended training camp this past fall with Detroit, has retired from pro hockey. Drafted in the ninth round, 264th overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Parenteau has 296 points (114G, 182A) in 491 games, as well as five points (2G, 3A) in 20 playoff games, for Chicago (2006/07), the Rangers (2009/10), the Islanders (2010/11-2011/12), Colorado (2012/13-2013/14), Montreal (2014/15), Toronto (2015/16), New Jersey (part of 2016/17), and Nashville (part of 2016/17). Parenteau has career-highs of 67 points in 2012 with the Islanders, 20 goals in 2011 with the Islanders and 2016 with Toronto, and 49 assists in 2012 with the Islanders. Parenteau, 35, finished his last NHL season in 2016/17 with 28 points (13G, 15A) in 67 games. He spent this past season with the KHL’s Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg, scoring 13 points in 20 games.
