Winnipeg Jets trade Chase de Leo to the Anaheim Ducks for Nic Kerdiles

The Winnipeg Jets have made another trade today; this time an AHL deal moving Chase De Leo for Nic Kerdiles of the Anaheim Ducks organization. Kerdiles spent most of the season in the AHL with the San Diego Seagulls.

Kerdiles is arbitration eligible this season while De Leo was not. This seems to be a purely AHL deal as Kerdiles had 34 points in 49 games last season while De Leo had 39 points in 69 games.

It is fair to assume that the Jets will not be replacing Armia from outside the organization and are simply bolstering the Manitoba Moose with reinforcements for the season as there will most likely be spots opening up on the Jets for some of the players ready to graduate.

Kerdiles is a former 36th overall pick and is 24 years old while De Leo was a former 99th overall pick and is 22 years old. He is not arbitration-eligible for two more years.
