The Winnipeg Jets select Jared Moe 184th overall

The Winnipeg Jets have selected goalie Jared Moe from the Waterloo Black Hawks 184th overall. He is a tall goalie who was the tenth ranked North American goalie by Central Scouting and was ranked in this range by most draft guides. He is committed to the University of Minnesota this coming fall.

During the regular season Moe had a goals against average of 2.23 and a save percentage of 0.919 during the regular season and he improved both of those in the playoffs to 1.81 and 0.933 respectively.

There is not much out there on Moe, but it is fair to say that the Jets got fair value on him and have added to their goalie depth chart. He can stay in the NCAA for four years before the Jets have to make a decision on him. They have one more pick left in the draft and I have a few more days to worry about the Habs trading Max Pacioretty.
